Kris Mathis sets out the simple 8-step process that has moved him from poverty and fear to success in his own life and significance in the lives of many. One of many lines that caught my attention was “You’re closer than you think to the dream you want.” Here it sounds like a message in a fortune cookie, but when it comes from the mouth or pen of Kris Mathis, it rings true. I want the young people and the adults with whom I work to experience the message of this book for themselves.

In the book From Success to Significance, Kris delivers a powerful message with his honest words. He willingly shares his own personal experiences and gives guidance to a better future. While reading, I felt as though he was speaking directly to me as a friend. I put the book down only once at midnight so that I could get some rest before going to work at 5am. In 2 days, he taught me how to go from being a Contender to being a Winner. This is a very inspirational book that should be read by all. We all have something special in us and Kris intends to reveal it to us so that we may shine.
